About
As a property owner in the State of Utah, you have important rights guaranteed by both the Utah Constitution and the United States Constitution. These rights include the right to receive just compensation for property that is taken and for damages to the remainder property resulting from the taking or the project. This means that the condemning authority must pay you for the property it takes and any damages to your remaining property caused by the taking or the construction of the project. In addition, you are entitled to relocation benefits if you are required to move your home or a business. The taking of your property is a very complicated procedure, along with receiving relocation benefits if you are required to move your home or a business. Because of the complexity of these laws, hiring an attorney to navigate the process can help ensure that your rights are protected.
